OUR APPROACH TO IMMIGRATION MEDICALS

One assessment. Six destinations. Documents that land.

Why immigration medicals exist.

Most major immigration regimes (United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United States, UAE, and many others) require visa or settlement applicants to complete a formal medical assessment by an approved panel physician or accredited medical practitioner. The assessment is part of the destination country’s admissions framework, designed to confirm the applicant’s medical fitness to enter and reside in the country, with specific requirements that vary by destination. Without correctly-formatted documentation from an approved practitioner, the visa application itself cannot proceed.

How we deliver them.

Our clinic provides immigration medicals for the major destinations in a single appointment, completed on the day, with documentation packaged for direct submission to the relevant immigration authority within 5 working days of your appointment. The medical itself includes a comprehensive physical examination, blood tests (HIV, hepatitis, syphilis, and other markers where required by destination), chest X-ray referral, TB screening, and a detailed medical history review. Specific requirements vary by country: we’ll confirm exactly what your destination needs at the time of booking, and structure your appointment accordingly.

DESTINATIONS WE COVER

Six immigration regimes. One clinical team.

We provide immigration medicals for the major destinations our patients most commonly need. Each destination has specific medical requirements, documentation formats, and approved practitioner standards; we work to all of them. If your destination isn’t listed, contact us – most immigration medicals use a common clinical framework with destination-specific documentation, and we can usually accommodate.

01

UK Home Office and UKVI medicals.

Required for certain UK visa categories including settlement applications, longer-term work visas, and family-route applications. Tuberculosis screening and chest X-ray referral are core components.

02

IOM (International Organization for Migration) assessments.

The standardised medical framework used for many immigration programmes, including refugee resettlement, US immigration, and UK family reunification. Conducted by approved IOM panel physicians.

03

Australian and New Zealand immigration medicals.

Bupa-administered medicals for Australian visas (subclasses 189, 190, 491, 482, etc.) and similar assessments for New Zealand permanent residency, conducted to AMET and Immigration NZ standards.

04

Canadian immigration medical examinations.

The IRCC Immigration Medical Examination required for Canadian permanent residency and many Canadian work permits, conducted by IRCC-approved panel physicians.

05

UAE and Middle East medical certificates.

Health certificates required for UAE residency visas and similar Gulf state employment-based residency applications, including HIV and tuberculosis screening as core requirements.

06

General fit-to-emigrate health certificates.

Standard health certification for destinations with less prescriptive medical requirements, or for personal records in advance of an emigration application.

Documentation timeline

Assessment on the day. Documentation in 5 working days.

Most immigration medical assessments are completed on the day of your appointment, with the physical examination, in-clinic tests, and clinical review all performed in a single visit. Laboratory blood test results typically return within 24 to 48 hours. We aim to have all documentation reviewed, signed, and packaged for submission within 5 working days of your appointment, ready to lodge directly with your visa application. Where chest X-ray referral is required, this is arranged at the appointment and integrated into the final documentation package.
